Nokia 8800

so I tried out the Nokia 8800 for a week or so and overall it was at best, ok. The phone is very flashy with its shiny stainless steel case and sliding screen, but past that there was little too be excited about. The functionality of it past making calls was close to none. The buttons on the phone are far too small for texting as well. One other thing is the phones weight, it’s quite heavy due to the steel case. At first i liked that it had some weight to it, but towards the end of the week it was annoying that it felt heavier than my iPhone yet had nowhere near the functionality of the iPhone (or any smartphone for that matter) does. As a cool looking phone it’s pretty good, but as a phone I would want to use day in and day out, I think not. I will stick with smartphones.

iPhone update #2

Well the second update for the iPhone came and went. Version 1.0.2, which seems to be even less exciting than the 1.0.1 update. At least in that one when it said “bug fixes” there were some things that were visible. This one looks to actually just be “bug fixes” except nothing you will notice. My patience is growing short for actual updates with content that has been available on any other cell phone for EVER! MMS anyone!? COME ON APPLE!!! get it together!

Update: They are offering a $100 gift card rebate to early adopters due to the price cut.

Xbox 360 Quick Game review: The Outfit

This game is an arcade style fun army shooter. lots of fun! It’s not your typical tactical army commander game, its more of a “fun run around and shoot everything.” You are a group of 3 army guys dubbed “the outfit” they are the coolest guys around. The idea is of course kill the nazi’s, and you use destructive commands such as calling in air strikes and tanks. Overall i would call this game a cooler/different version of the old game “army men.” Bottom line its a really fun game!

Review: BlueAnt Supertooth light

I picked up a BlueAnt SuperTooth Light bluetooth speakerphone the other day. I am now on day 3 of use. It has it’s pro’s and it’s con’s.

PRO’s: Charges with USB, nice big speaker, easy to use, cool looking, pair’s with your phone once you get in the car, battery lasts a long time.

CON’s: people I talked to said it doesn’t sound very good at all, the pop out mic seemed to break itself after i left it in the hot car for a day.

BOTTOM LINE: It was a nice device, but due to sound quality to other person, and the microphone breaking, I am returning it.

On to the next Bluetooth device :(

First iPhone update

Just a quick note. Although the first official iPhone update “1.0.1″ is a little under-whelming. It did fix my battery charge indicator problem I was having with my iPhone!!! hooray for an accurate battery charge indicator. aside from that I have noticed Safari does seem to be a a little more stable. Apple says the update was “security updates” so I guess my cell phone is more secure now :)

Bring on the application updates!!
